FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND AGENCIES

Often it’s the same barriers that keep certain voices quiet in the classroom that can limit participation and reduce output and retention in the workplace. While my background is in education, any environment of productivity, creativity, and learning can benefit from implementing practices that promote engagement, foster belonging, and encourage collaboration.

As a foster parent and long-time teacher and school counselor, I understand how to look at not just your organization or program, but also integrate every piece of the puzzle — from government agencies to schools, families, and beyond.

I support organizations & agencies OF ALL TYPES AND SIZES

Here is what I know…

Bringing in an outside perspective can make all the difference.

If you’re trying to expand your program, reach new clients or populations, or better serve the folks you work with, I want to help you coordinate your efforts to maximize accessibility and impact. With a fresh set of eyes, I assist you in approaching problems from new angles and finding sustainable solutions.

I work with organizations to offer affirmation and insights. Sometimes this comes in the form of consultation on challenging cases or situations and in other situations I serve as a thought partner while you take new and bold steps towards to leverage your talents and enhance your impace.

Advancing DEIAB: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Belonging takes work.

Even the best of intentions won’t bring an end to prejudice overnight. Working together, our goal will be to increase your organization’s ability to serve and engage people of all backgrounds, abilities, and needs—from the inside out. This means developing a common language and bringing everyone to the table to talk about how to interrupt discrimination by updating policies and practices.

I integrate my expertise in adult learning and an interactive and self-reflective approach to trainings and workshops I deliver to help your organization explore how systemic bias impacts your culture and the population(s) you serve. I’m available for one-time workshops and inservices, but DEIAB work is a process and change often takes time—consider bringing me in for a series.

It’s not always easy to understand and explain what’s great about what you do.

Whether you’re running an after-school theater program, a support group, a youth activism campaign, an employee retreat, or something else, it takes dedicated attention to make sure opportunities are working for people of all abilities and identities. Your organization may be doing great work to empower folks with marginalized identities: maybe you want to disseminate your model, you’re looking for funding, or you’re in a strategic planning process and need a logic model.

As a researcher, my methodology for program evaluation is collaborative and based on proven best practices. My goal? I want to answer your questions, hear about your work from multiple angles, and report back in a way that is most helpful for your specific needs.
